She graduated with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto, and prior to this, completed a Bachelor of Child Health, with a minor in Psychology, from Brock University, and a diploma in Concurrent Disorders (mental health and addictions) from Mohawk College. Mackenzie has experience supporting individuals across the lifespan, including children, adults, and older adults, with clinical experience spanning mental health conditions, acquired brain injuries, neurological disorders, musculoskeletal impairments, and amputations, across community, hospital, and private practice settings.

In her pediatric practice, Mackenzie focuses on helping young clients overcome physical, emotional, and behavioral challenges, including emotional regulation difficulties, fine and gross motor delays, sensory processing issues, and life skills development needs. For motor vehicle accident clients, she conducts thorough functional assessments and develops individualized treatment plans in accordance with the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule. Her expertise extends to completing Disability Certificates (OCF-3) and Treatment Plans (OCF-18), as well as conducting In-Home Functional Assessments, Functional Cognitive Assessments, and Worksite Assessments to support rehabilitation following accidents.

Mackenzie holds specialized certifications in the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), and Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), and has extensive experience conducting home safety assessments to support clients’ safety and independence in everyday activities.

Mackenzie is also trained and certified in assessing and treating retained primitive reflexes through the Harkla Primitive Reflexes course, further strengthening her ability to support clients with neurological and developmental challenges.

Throughout her OT program, Mackenzie completed research in concussions and is eager to bring this knowledge into practice. Hana has been working with children and adolescents since 2017 and expanded her practice to include adults in 2024. She has experience providing occupational therapy services in community-based programs, public schools, inpatient mental health, and outpatient clinics.

Her pediatric experience includes trauma-informed care, school-based occupational therapy, handwriting intervention, and supporting children with developmental, sensory, and mental health needs. She is passionate about helping children and their families and strives to be a strong advocate for inclusion and meaningful participation in everyday life.

Hana also works with adults and older adults, supporting individuals with ADHD and sensory processing challenges at home, in the workplace, and in the community. She has experience helping clients age in place through home safety assessments and environmental modifications while promoting independence and functional participation.

Hana takes a collaborative, strengths-based approach to care, working closely with clients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to provide individualized, evidence-based interventions that help people achieve their goals and participate in the activities that matter most to them.

Maddie completed her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at McMaster University, where she gained diverse clinical experience across acute stroke care, medical and surgical rehabilitation, school-based pediatrics, early years pediatrics, and community mental health.

Through previous placements at Niagara Health, Niagara Children’s Centre, and Niagara Region Public Health, Maddie developed strong skills in assessment, intervention planning, family-centered care, and interprofessional collaboration. Her work included supporting children in both school-based and early years programs, as well as assisting adults in recovery from neurological and medical conditions, including stroke and acquired brain injury.

In her pediatric practice, Maddie focuses on helping young clients build skills in visual motor and fine motor development, cognitive and sensory processing, emotional regulation, and play-based engagement. She works closely with parents and caregivers to support child development and promote participation, independence, and confidence in meaningful daily activities.
